In order to improve the working environment for women researchers, the Faculty of Science & Technology is working on an infrastructure that will encourage women to continue their work as researchers.
There are two major objectives.
1. Designing a method to send and receive as well as to exchange data in and outside of the school using the Internet.
- The roll-out of the Global Mentoring System
- Professional support for preparing academic papers in English
- Preparing a network that will make it possible to access journals and other information sources from home.
- An Internet bulletin board for women researchers and students.
2. Use of “common” space for women researchers to exchange opinions and get to know each other.
- The space will be open to all women researchers within the university, providing a forum for exchanging opinions.
- The space will also be available to women students, allowing them to learn from other students and researchers.
Basic plans for the space will be made after consultation with researchers and students
